I switched to T mobile because of their Early Termination Fee program. I ordered my phones and plans online, My phone numbers successfully ported over from my Verizon Phone and everything went fine. But now when I try to start the trade-in process, no matter which T-Mobile site I check, I'm told that my "order number is invalid." It is the correct order number. During the order process I had to rebuild the order through Live chat and I went back to live chat to try and solve the problem. The first people I dealt with told me to lie and say I was experiencing buyers remorse and return the phones and start over. I did not feel that fraud was an adequate solution to the problem. I then called into T-Mobile customer care and they said I needed to talk to the loyalty department which they connected me to. I spoke with two people at Loyalty and the final outcome was "try it again on monday." Well it is Thursday now and my 14 day window is over and I can't trade in my device to qualify for the ETF program because my order number has never been valid. This is my last try at getting T-mobile to take care of the issue before I pursue a legal remedy.
Please help me. I like t mobile and would be glad I switched if they would hold up to their marketing promises. But now I'm in a position where the seemingly false advertising has cost me a fair amount of money and time as well as some of the most ludicrous customer service issues I've ever dealt with. I've submitted my final bill from verizon but I know the ETF program requires a trade in which I can't do without t mobile's system working which it doesn't.
