I just joined the T Mobile family 3 days ago I was looking for a military friendly cell phone carrier, the representatives at the location I went to were very nice and professional. I explained very clearly what i was looking for and asked all the questioned needed to make a comfortable decision. The one question I was very clear about was does T mobile offer military discounts. Without any hesitation the representative said yes and explained how it works and even calculated into my final bill in theory to show me how my bill would look after the discount. He explained that the Military discount would have to be applied for on line because I needed to prove my military service. Today I waited on the phone for about 20 to 25 minutes to speak with a rep about how to apply for the military discount. It took the rep about 5 to 10 minutes to come out and apologize for being mislead about a discount. T Mobile no longer offers military discounts they stopped offering discounts to military as of April of this year, but have neglected to properly inform customers I believe it's because of the volume of military people that are going to be effected in making a decision to stay with T Mobile. For those still on it will have to be careful because a notice will go out to re-confirm there military status if the response is not received in time or delayed even 1 day they will automatically loose the benefit. For those of you looking for your military discount you can stop looking if you signed up after April 1st of this year your not going to get it. Signed a disappointed Military service member.
