I've switched from AT&T a few months ago with my iPhone5. Have to say the phone & data service experience so far has been abyssal when compared to what I experienced with AT&T the last few years. Phone signal rarely goes over two bars, most calls get dropped, and my data coverage is typically non-existent. My phone will say 'LTE' or 'E' (edge) but I cant my phone connected to the internet without either going in/out of airplane mode or rebooting the phone and then it only lasts 20-30min before I have to cycle airplane mode again.
I've checked my phone settings per instructions on the T-mobile support site with no improvement. Before I give up I was wondering if T-mobile utilizes microcells or any other devices that can boost signals at my work & home? Is there anything I can do to see if there is a glaring misconfiguration on my device causing these issues?
