At the start of December 2012, I changed to T-Mobile after greater than 10 years of satisfied cell phone service with Sprint, and more than 6 years of mobile broadband service with Sprint. A month and a half later, I may have to totally reconsider that decision. I have been satisfied, thus far, with T-Mobile, until the following text message that was sent on the evening of January 20, 2013:
"456: Free T-Mobile Msg: Our $70 Monthly4G plan now includes UNL 4G data. Smartphone Mobile Hotspot is not avail. This will change on your next renewal after 2/20."
For the last month and a half, I have been on the following Monthly4G service, as shown on T-Mobile's website under my account information:
Current rate plan: $70 UL Talk Text Web (5 GB at 4G) - $70/month
Current services: Smartphone Mobile HotSpot - $15/month
The sole purpose of my decision to change from Sprint to T-Mobile was so that my services (talk, text, web - including that used on devices other than the phone itself) would be combined together in one device.
Is T-Mobile removing its Monthly4G Smartphone Mobile HotSpot Service?
