Overview

 

What is Voicemail on My T-Mobile and what does it provide?

Voicemail on My T-Mobile provides an option to check voicemail through the My T-Mobile Web site.

 

  • Voicemails are still accessible by the device and Voicemail on My T-Mobile.com syncs with your device when making changes.
  • You can forward a voicemail to 10 email contacts at one time.
  • Voicemail on My T-Mobile.com only displays contacts that are saved to MobileLife contacts.
    • Any contacts saved to a different location (such as Gmail or Exchange) are not be displayed.
  • Voice to text only: Read text version of voicemails and share transcriptions via email.

 

 

Eligibility, Requirements, and Restrictions

  • Postpaid or No Annual Contract only.
  • Must have a registered My T-Mobile account.
  • Browser Requirements:
    • Internet Explorer 8 or 9
    • Chrome
    • Firefox
    • Safari
  • Computer Operating System:
    • Windows 7
      • All other Windows operating systems are not supported at this time.
    • Mac

 

 

Resolution Steps

 

Access Voicemail on My T-Mobile.com

  1. Log into My T-Mobile.
  2. Hover over MobileLife and select Voicemail.

Change the voicemail password / PIN

  1. Log into My T-Mobile.
  2. Hover over MobileLife and select Voicemail.
  3. In the Inbox page, click Settings to the right of Inbox tab.
  4. Select Change Pin on left hand side of screen.
  5. Pin can be changed by first entering the Old Pin, then entering the new PIN twice.

 

Troubleshooting

  1. You completed the new user tutorial and has the old password intact (last 4 digits of MSISDN). If yes, change to a new PIN:
    • PIN should contain 4-9 digits.
    • PIN should not be equal to last 4 digits of his phone number.
    • PIN should not contain consecutive or repetitive digits like 111 or 123).
  2. You forgot password: Customer can reset their voicemail password to the last 4 digit of their mobile number by using the short code #PWD#, then follow the steps above to change to a new password.

 

Listen to voicemail greetings

  1. Log into My T-Mobile.
  2. Hover over MobileLife and select Voicemail.
  3. In the Inbox page, click Settings to the right of Inbox tab
  4. Select Current Greeting on left hand side of screen.

Listen to voicemail

  1. Log into My T-Mobile.
  2. Hover over MobileLife and select Voicemail.
    • Web Inbox page will be displayed.
  3. To play an individual message, select the Play icon next to the message.
  4. To Play All, select the Play All icon on the top left of the Inbox page.

 

Save / Download a voicemail to the computer

  1. Log into My T-Mobile.
  2. Hover over MobileLife and select Voicemail.
  3. Click anywhere in the box of the message you want to download.
    • The message will expand with options.
  4. Select the Download option
    • The selected message will download to the download folder.

 

Send a voicemail via email

  1. Log into My T-Mobile.
  2. Hover over MobileLife and select Voicemail.
  3. Click anywhere in the box of the message you want to email.
    • The message will expand with options.
  4. Select the Send as e-mail option.
    • The selected message will download to the download folder.

 

Sort Web inbox voicemails

  1. Log into My T-Mobile.
  2. Hover over MobileLife and select Voicemail.
  3. In the Inbox, select Sort By in the upper right corner. A drop-down menu appears with the sort options:
    • New to old
    • Old to new
    • By name: A-Z
    • By name: Z-A
    • Unread first
  4. To filter a name or number, enter the name or number in the Search box and then click Enter.
    • Only messages with the search criteria will be displayed.

 

Voice to Text Only: Access a transcribed voicemail

  1. Log into My T-Mobile.
  2. Hover over MobileLife and select Voicemail.
  3. At the Inbox, all voicemails with a successful Voice Transcription display.

 

Transcriptions will be available to only those Voicemail subscriber who can view the transcriptions on their VVM client.
