Overview

 

 

Resolution Steps

Activate / Register

Register

  • Access to Album requires registration at My T-Mobile. Once registered, you log in to Album directly via http://www.t-mobilepictures.com/, or by using links provided on My T-Mobile.
  • You access Album using their T-Mobile phone number and My T-Mobile password.

Activate

  1. Send a picture, audio file, or video to the Album service to register. Some phones have the links built in, while others will require you to send the message to 222.
  2. T-Mobile sends a welcome text message with the Web address: www.t-mobilepictures.com.
  3. If you have previously set up a My T-Mobile account, enter your mobile number and password, and then click the LOG IN button.
    If you have not registered, click the Register here link to complete the registration. Your mobile number and password are the same for Album and My T-Mobile.
    Follow the setup instructions and create your album.

 

Note: The Web address received to the phone at initial signup is randomly generated. When the screen name is changed during the setup process, the Web address is automatically changed to an address containing the screen name

 

 

 

Access MobileLife Album

From My T-Mobile

  1. Log in to My T-Mobile.
  2. From the top navigation bar, hover over MobileLife.
  3. Click Album.

 

From MobileLife Web / t-zones

  1. Access t-zones/MobileLife Web from your device.
  2. Select the My Account tab or link.
  3. Select MobileLife.
  4. Select Album.

 

 

 

 

Create an Album

  1. Access the Album service.
  2. From the Albums list, click the New link.
  3. Enter the desired album name.
  4. Click Save to confirm.
  5. Verify that the new album displays in your Albums list.

 

 

 

 

Delete a Picture

  1. Access the Album service.
  2. Click on the desired picture.
  3. Click Select or the white box in the lower left corner to select the picture.
    Note: Once selected, a magenta dot displays in the corner of the picture.
  4. Click Delete Media.
    • The message 'The selected content will be permanently deleted. Do you want to continue?' appears.
  5. Click Delete to confirm.
    • The picture is permanently deleted from Album. Deleted pictures are not sent to the Trash can album. Use the Trash can to file pictures before fully deleting them (i.e., marked for deletion vs. permanent deletion).

 

 

 

 

Delete a Media Album

  1. Access the Album service.
  2. Hover over the album you want to delete.
  3. Click the delete icon.
  4. Click Delete.
  5. Verify that the album is no longer listed under your Albums list

 

 

 

 

Edit a Picture Title

  1. Access the Album service.
  2. Click the desired picture.
  3. Click Select or the white box in the lower left corner to select the picture.
    Note: Once selected, a magenta dot displays in the corner of the picture.
  4. Click Edit Title.
  5. Enter a new title.
  6. Click OK to confirm the title change.

 

 

 

 

Edit an Album Name

  1. Access the Album service.
  2. Hover over the album you want to change.
  3. Click the edit icon.
  4. Edit the album name as desired.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Verify the album name has changed under the list of Albums.

 

 

 

 

Hide or Show Third-Party Sites (Snapfish, Picassa, etc.)

  1. Access the Album service.
  2. Scroll to the To Other Sites section.
  3. Click the Edit link.
  4. Select the third party sites you wish to display.
  5. Click Ok to display the desired third party site.

Note: The list of third-party sites updates to match the desired selections.

 

 

 

 

Migrate My Album Legacy Content to Album

 

  • You initiate the My Album to Album migration when they first access Album.
  • Unlike My Album, the Album service does not have a My Journal function.
  • After the migration to Album, the My Journal content was moved to an Album (called My Journal) that appears under their list of Albums.

 

  1. Log in to My T-Mobile.
  2. Locate MobileLife on the My T-Mobile home page (on the top-right).
  3. Hover over Album. The Album folder expands into a drop-down menu.
  4. Click Manage Album from the drop-down menu.
  5. Verify the message: Account is being Migrated. Please try again shortly displays.
  6. Click Ok.
  7. Log out of My T-Mobile. Continue with the steps below to complete the migration.
  8. Enter your Mobile Number and Password in the required fields.
  9. Click LOG IN to re-enter My T-Mobile.
  10. Click Manage Album.
  11. Read the Album Terms of Use.
  12. Scroll to and click I agree (at the bottom of the page).
    • Note: The migration takes an additional few moments to complete.
  13. Periodically, click Refresh this page to see if your pictures are available.
  14. After the migration is completed, verify that you are redirected to Album the next time you log in to My T-Mobile and click Manage Album.

 

 

 

 

Move a Picture to an Album

  1. Log in to My T-Mobile.
  2. Hover over MobileLife (at the top).
  3. Click Album.
  4. Navigate to and click the desired picture.
  5. Click Select or the white box in the lower left corner to select the picture.
    Note: Once selected, a magenta dot displays in the corner of the picture.
  6. Click the Change Albums link.
  7. Select the desired album's check box.
  8. Click Ok.
  9. Click the destination album (on the left side of the screen) to verify the newly added picture was added to the desired album.
    Note: If the picture was successfully added to destination album, it displays in that album's contents.

 

 

 

 

Rotate a Picture

  1. Log in to My T-Mobile.
  2. Locate MobileLife on the right side of the screen.
  3. Hover over Album until the menu expands.
  4. Click Manage Album.
  5. Click desired picture.
  6. Click Select or the white box in the lower left corner to select the picture. Note: Once selected, a magenta dot displays in the corner of the picture.
  7. Click Rotate Image.

 

 

 

 

Search Album for a File

  1. Access the Album service.
  2. Enter search text in the Search box.

 

Note: The results display as you type the search string. If you change the search string, the results update accordingly.

 

 

 

 

Send a MMS from Album

Note: If not receiving e-mails as expected, check the Spam folder or other folders if you set up filtering.

 

  1. Access the MobileLife Album service.
  2. Click the picture you want to send as a message.
  3. Click Select or the white box in the lower left corner to select the picture.
    • Note: Once selected, a magenta dot displays in the corner of the picture.
  4. Verify that the selected image displays on the right side of the screen.
  5. Click Send As Message.
  6. Enter a number or select a number from your Contacts. You can also enter an e-mail address.
    • Important: When sending a message to an e-mail address, you can attach more than one file per message. When sending a message to a phone number, you can only attach one file per message.
  7. Click the Plus icon next to the desired number or e-mail address.
  8. Click Send.
    • Note: When sending a picture from Album, the sender is not charged for the message. Standard text messaging charges apply for the picture message recipient (if delivered to a mobile phone).

 

 

 

 

Sort Files in Album

  1. Access the Album service.
  2. Click the Sort By drop-down menu.
  3. Click the desired sort option.
  4. Verify pictures are sorted as desired.

 

 

 

 

Upload a Picture to Album from Computer

  1. Access the Album service.
  2. Click Add Media.
  3. Click Browse to locate desired picture.
    Note: You can add up to 5 pictures at a time.
  4. Navigate to the desired picture.
  5. Click Open.
    Note: This step may vary on computers using operation systems other than Microsoft Windows.
  6. Click Upload. The picture is added to the Album service in the Unassigned album.
    Note: From here, you can move the Unassigned picture(s) to your personalized albums or create a new album in which to store the pictures.

 

 

 

 

Upload Picture to Third-Party site from Album

 

Known Issue: You cannot upload images from MyAlbum to Facebook using Internet Explorer 8.

 

  1. Access the Album service.
  2. Click desired picture.
  3. Click Select or the white box in the lower left corner to select the picture.
    Note: Once selected, a magenta dot displays in the corner of the picture.
  4. Hold down the left mouse button.
  5. Drag the selected picture to the desired service's icon.
  6. Drop the image (release mouse button) to desired third-party site.
    Note: Steps 7 - 10 are commonly referred to as a 'drag and drop' procedure.
  7. Enter your Username and Password for the third-party site.
  8. Click Log into [Service Name].
    Note: A pop-up box prompts you to confirm the action.
  9. Click Send Pictures to [Service Name].

 

Note: After the picture is sent, you are returned to the main Album service page.
