There are number of other discussion threads about email->SMS issues, but I specifically want to zero in on the issue of the "From" field of the SMS that I get when sending email to number@tmomail.net (from an automated monitoring system for work, like many other people in the forum).
I have an example from Aug 5, 2014 which looks exactly the way I want: if I select View details for this message on my phone, I see
Type: Text message
From: actualsourceemail@domain.com
But today (Aug 27) I got three SMS messages this way with e.g.
Type: Text message
From: 9504
and the source email address prepended to the message body. That's no good, because the messages don't thread properly, don't use my custom alert sounds, etc. And they were all different numbers: one from 9504, one from 9507, one from 9508.
Please, T-Mobile, put this back the way it was before!
