Steps
Prerequisites:
- A T-Mobile phone recently synchronized with the MobileLife Contacts service (to ensure all contacts and changes will be in the export).
- An active My.T-Mobile.com account and login credentials.
- A computer with Internet access.
- On the computer, open a browser and navigate to http://www.T-Mobile.com/Contacts.
- If presented with the My T-Mobile login page, please sign into the account which has the contacts you wish to export.
- Note:
- If a My T-Mobile account has not yet been configured, please create one and return to step 1.
- If you have forgotten your password, click Forgot your password? to send it to your phone in a text message, and then return to step 1.
- Note:
- Once the MobileLife Contacts Web page is open, click Manage contacts.
- In the menu that appears, click Export contacts.
- Using the drop-down menu on the left, select the desired format for the export file.
Note: The most widely-compatible format is Microsoft Outlook (.csv). It is recommend to use that file type unless you are sure that you require one of the others. - After selecting an export format, click Next.
- To select/deselect all contacts, click the box inside the heading over the far-right column.
Note: When you do this, magenta dots will appear/disappear in all boxes in the list). - Individual contacts may also be selected/deselected by clicking the boxes next to them.
Note: A counter at the bottom, near the Export button, should display the total number of selected contacts. - Once all desired contacts have been selected, click Export.
- If given the option, it is recommend selecting Save as and choosing a file name and location that you can easily find later. Otherwise, you should check your browser’s downloads list for your exported file.
Note: File names may vary depending on the format you selected earlier. - The downloaded file contains the contacts you selected. You can use it to import into most popular contact synchronization services.
