Hi, Just wanted to warn everyone about this. On December 12, I purchased a Blackberry 9900 and signed a new two year contract. I had been out of contract for 5+ years and was happy to sign a contract with the understanding that I would receive a $50 instant rebate on the phone and a $50 mail in rebate.
The employee who sold me the phone and plan (unfortunately I do not remember her name) filled out the paperwork for the rebate for me with all the required information. I looked it over and asked about the wording that the rebate was for "Classic Plans" and I was getting a "Value Plan".
She assured me that it was for all plans, that the information was in her computer and that I would be getting both rebates.
This was a complete scam, and this employee lied to me. I do not know if she was just ignorant of company policies, or whether she was outright lying to make a sale, but the result is the same.
I have spoken to rebate customer service, and there was nothing they could do. They also seemed unsurprised that this happened and said, "yes, we wish they wouldn't do that!"
VERY BAD customer service T-Mobile!
I have been a customer for a long time, and signed a new contract after 5+ years, and have always been pleased with customer service...until now.
