Signed up for the ETF thing, apparently nothing ever is really as good as you want it to be. Just found a hard credit inquiry on my report, even though I paid upfront for 2 phones and signed up for the family plan. I asked if it was a hard or a soft inquiry in the store, but they assured me it was soft.
Has anyone had any success disputing this credit check? Verizon may have had a data cap and cost slightly more money, but at least they didn't pull a hard credit inquiry on me. The small amount I am saving by switching to tmo certainly doesn't outweigh negative marks on my credit score.
