I purchased the $30 Tmobile Sim starter kit from Walmart.com hoping everything would go smoothly.
However when i try to activate the Sim card online it says
Oops—this isn’t a valid SIM number. Please try again.
The SIM number should be 19 digits long. Please do not include the “F” at the end of the number.
I have checked multiple times to make sure everything is correct. When i called tmobile support they said that that this Sim card doesnt exist and that Walmart needs to activate it. I would need to go to a physical location to have them scan it. I wanted to avoid all of this by buying it online.
I drove to a Walmart store hoping they could just scan the activation barcode and be done with it. However they said they cant since I purchased it online.
So i go home and phone walmart support, explain my problem. They said they cant help because they just sell it the kits, they cant activate it. I would have to call tmobile.
So here i am trying to find a way to get this sim card activated. So far this has been only trouble.
I picked up the SIM kit from Walmart (ship-to-store) over 2 weeks ago, could not activate. Went back to the store, they said they could do nothing. Called up the T-Mobile main number, they said they could do nothing. I've been back and forth with Walmart.com customer service via email, they're still "looking into it". I'm totally stuck. Googling this reveals there are many with this problem, it seems they're leaving the Walmart.com warehouse without being properly scanned. I'd really just like this finally activated. Please help.
