When I go the change plan option in my account, it gives me the option to change to a simple choice plan for $80/month for my two lines for unlimited talk/text. Right now I have the Classic 1000 for 2 lines with unlimited text and and 1 gb data on one line and no test or data on the second line. It looks like I would pay $100/month for then by switching to this simple choice plan ($80 + $20 for the data) but gain unlimited texting on the other line. This would also charge me $50/line migration fee.
For a new to T-Mobile user, from their page for the same $80/month you get the 1 gb data and unlimited talk/text for both lines, whether you bring your own phone or not (this is the equivalent of $120 on the option it gives me).
Has anybody had luck getting the new rate even though they are an existing customer while keeping their same phones? I wouldn't mind paying the migration fee if I have to in order to get the data and text on the other line, but want the $80/month inclusive.
