So I noticed that Tmobile has created this new $40 a month plan that's targeted at individual users, which is quite aggressive in my opinion. It seems like the perfect plan for myself. I'm currently on the $50 a month simple choice plan, which has been basically the same as the new starter plan except for the fact that it offered unlimited data (500 MB at 4G speeds). Recently the $50 a month plan has been tweaked to allow 1GB of data use at 4G speeds, which I believe was done to make it stand out a bit more from the new $40 a month plan.
From what I understand, the new simple starter plan doesn't allow global roaming or international texting like the other simple choice plans do, but this is not something I'm concerned with. I never leave the country and don't plan to any time soon.
I typically don't even come close to the 500 MB limit as I always use Wi Fi whenever I need to download anything. It helps that my ISP (Comcast) has Wi Fi hotspots all over the city I live in, which is something they just started offering.
Anyway, I definitely want to switch to the new simple starter plan as money is tight right now and I'm also shelling out $21 EIP payments every month. I was recently on the $50 prepaid plan, which I loved. Now that I'm on postpaid, I get nailed with all these extra taxes and fees, which adds another $10 a month to my total bill.
From what I can tell, I should be able to switch to this new plan without any issues. Or is there something I'm missing here?
