What if I have CallerTunes and I want to add Content Blocking?
The Content Blocking feature will block the ability to use your CallerTunes service. If you want to add Content Blocking, remove the CallerTunes feature from your account so that you are not billed for a service you cannot use.
How do I subscribe to CallerTunes?
You may subscribe to CallerTunes through the following channels:
- Customer Care
- MyT-Mobile.com
- WAP deck
- *TUNE (*8863 from IVR) - for Postpaid subscribers only
- T-Mobile retail locations
How long does CallerTunes activation take?
It may take up to 24 hours.
Who can subscribe to CallerTunes?
All Postpaid and Monthly4G customers.

How are Monthly4G customers billed for CallerTunes?
CallerTune Subscriptions:
- Monthly 4G customers are billed a monthly recurring charge for the CallerTunes subscriptions.
- If the needed funds are not available at the time of renewal, CallerTunes are suspended until you pay towards your balance, which restores your account from suspend status.
CallerTunes one-time purchase:
- One-time CallerTune purchases are debited from the Account Balance.
- If there are insufficient funds in the Account Balance to cover the purchase, you will receive a message telling you to refill your Account Balance.

What is the difference between My Profile and My Collection?
- My Collection shows all CallerTunes.
- You can assign tunes to each Caller Group from My Collection.
- My Profile shows CallerTunes assigned to each Caller Group.
- In My Profile, the customer assigns tunes to play under set conditions:
- Default
- Time Specific
- Groups
- Person
- Occasion
- Ordinary Ring
What does the CallerTunes Expiration Date mean?
- CallerTunes purchases have a lease date and will expire unless renewed for an additional fee.
- The days remaining displays in the Profile and My Collection tabs.
- To renew the CallerTune, click the Renew link.
- You are notified of the number of days remaining before a piece of content expires. The free text notifications are delivered to the handset in intervals of 30, 10, and 3 days.
- You can renew the CallerTune through MyT-Mobile Profile Settings for an additional charge.
- CallerTunes not renewed by expiration are automatically removed from User Collection and Profile. You can then repurchase at a later date.
Note: The expiration disclaimer explains that CallerTunes content is leased to you for a maximum length of time. However, T-Mobile reserves the right to remove CallerTunes content at any time. If a CallerTune is expired, you can keep it for the full lease time before it becomes unavailable.
Can I record my own music or voice as a tune?
Not at this time.
Can I use CallerTunes as hold music for incoming callers?
No.
What if I ask T-Mobile to add a specific song to CallerTunes?
Because the music label's and publisher's consent is required to use music for CallerTunes, T-Mobile cannot guarantee the addition of any song.
If I hide my caller ID, does CallerTunes play the correct song(s)?
Yes. However, the incoming caller's number does not display on the T-Mobile subscriber's handset when the outgoing caller hides their caller ID.
Are there handset requirements for CallerTunes?
No.
Can Sidekick and G1 customers access CallerTunes?
At this time, Sidekick® and G1™ customers can only access CallerTunes by:
- My T-Mobile.com, either on a computer or on their device.
- CallerTunes IVR (*TUNE)
t-zones is not supported for CallerTunes on Sidekick and G1 devices.
Can I play selected tunes for close friends only?
Yes. You can buy a CallerTune and assign it to your Friends group. Do not assign any CallerTune to your Default Caller group. Only the numbers registered under Friends hear the assigned CallerTune.
Can non-T-Mobile callers hear CallerTunes?
Yes.
How many CallerTunes can I have?
This depends on your rate plan.
How long can a customer keep a tune?
This depends on your rate plan.
How many calling party numbers can I have with my friends, family, and co-worker groups?
Each group supports up to ten calling numbers.
How long can my introductory greeting be?
It can be up to ten seconds long.
Is there an option to play random songs every time a caller dials the subscriber?
Yes; this service is called JukeBox.
What are some reasons why I cannot purchase CallerTunes?
- As a Family Allowances subscriber, you are not an authorized user.
- As a Family Allowances subscriber, you have exceeded your allotted downloads limite amount.
