Lack of Internet Control on Family Allowances

I blocked my teenagers phone and left the allow list numbers in place to ensure my teen had access to emergency numbers. Within hours the data usage spiked to 3 times the normal use as they just moved to online texting services to get access to these features using free applications readily available on the web.

I contacted T-Mobile and they immediately shut down all internet services.  It is a pain for me.  As I told the customer service representative, I would gladly continue to pay the data fee during month to keep these services active but allow me to disable them in the Family Allowances portion of the phone management as it simplifies my life.  This is a win-win for T-Mobile.

I work in IT. If the service agent can turn it off at their PC creating a plug-in that allows this service to be turned off at this web browser is relatively simple.  Wireless networks will still be problematic, but this kills 75% of the problem.

I don't understand why T-Mobile would refuse to add this feature as the earliest posts on this matter date back to 2011.  Do you not want my money?

At the moment I will simply contact T-Mobile and have them cut the service manually which wastes my time and loses your company revenue.  How can that possibly make sense?

Any parent having this issue, simply call T-Mobile and tell them to cut the service.  Your bill gets reduced for the time that the service is off.  Hopefully enough people do this that T-Mobile realizes lost revenue is dumb.
