Why does Official T-Mobile Doc List 2G Speed at 100KB But Customer Service Says Otherwise?

Document # 2741 - which has been posted in Community - states that when a user has (for example) used their allotted 500MB at 4G speed, it is then "throttled" at 2G speed. Further, that 2G speed is identified as being no less than 100KB per second. However, my 2G speed is only 15% of that at 15KB per second!

 

I called customer support and spoke to Kenneth. He was polite but insisted that 15KB was the normal 2G speed, in complete contradiction to T-Mobile's official statement on this issue. He said that he would forward my concern to another team within that department and they would contact me within 72 hours. It's debatable as to what this will accomplish if they simply reiterate the same thing.

 

Why is there this disparity between what T-Mobile as an organization asserts publicly versus what is claimed by their technical support department?

 

I welcome the response of a T-Mobile rep in this community and the experience of other users.
