I have a T-Mobile Galaxy S4 I got from T-Mobile coming up on 6 months ago, and I've had JUMP active on the account ever since. I've decided the S4 is a little large for me and have been really interested in the Moto X. Unfortunately, the Moto X's position as being sold by Motorola for T-Mobile and not through T-Mobile directly means I can't do a straight JUMP from the S4 to the Moto X. Since T-Mobile doesn't sell the Moto X it isn't eligible for the EIP.
When I was reading through the JUMP contract they only talk about the third party who handles certifying the devices for refurbs reimbursing T-Mobile for the remaining EIP balance. Is it possible to trade my S4 back into T-Mobile without purchasing a new device, and instead using a bought-outright Moto X? I have a feeling the answer is no, but I'm really hoping there's a way (or that T-Mobile starts carrying the Moto X itself and I can use JUMP the way I intended to when I signed up). Anyone have the inside line on how JUMP actually works?
