hi if i text a person who went to puerto rico for vacation, but has a phone from the US...will i be charged for texting eventhough i have unlimited domestic texting?

hi if a person who went to Puerto rico for vacation but has a phone from the US with an US number (917), will I be charged for texting them even though I do not have an international texting service added to my plan...however I do have domestic unlimited texting
