was told to email to have you trouble shoot my phone when I could access my home wifi:local store does not have wifi

After 20 calls/visits to the local store  and speaking with 25+ reps, I am still unable to receive calls sometime at home or  they are often dropped. After much ado, where I was often given contradictory info, I got a new new wifi compatible phone, got home wifi and moved the router so it is more accessible, I am still having issues with not being able to keep or receive calls. I was told to get an online chat with  rep while home with access to my wifi so he/she could troubleshoot my phone--the idea being /that I may have router issues, not phone issues. I am fed up with poor customer service and unreliable phone service, as my issues also include the fact that sometimes I get my messages two hours to two days after the fact, not acceptable when I am job hunting and taking care of a sick friend . Anyone have any ideas?
