Gold Reward status and plan changes

I have a couple of questions:

1. If I put in $100 on a pay-as-you-go plan (PAYG), I receive gold rewards status and 1000 minutes valid to one year.  At the end of the year if I have $60 left and say 500 minutes,  can I refill with a $50 card to get above $100 again for  gold rewards --

The new balance I should see is:

500 ($60 unused) + 460 ($50 refill) = 960 minutes valid for one more year and worth $110?

2. Can you transfer/apply an unused amount from a PAYG plan to a prepaid monthly? or post-paid monthly plan?
