When you can't refill your account
While not a T-Mobile service, 1-800-COLLECT is an option available if you're unable to refill your Pay in Advance account, but you need to place a call. Service information for 1-800-COLLECT is available for all Pay in Advance customers, which includes:
- Monthly plans
- Pay As You Go
- Pay By The Day
Service is provided by 1-800-COLLECT and allows you to make an urgent call if you're unable to add funds to your account.
- Collect call charges are the responsibility of the party that accepts the call.
- T-Mobile customers making a collect call are not charged.
- The party accepting the call is charged by 1-800-COLLECT on either on their landline bill or by their wireless provider, whichever line type (wireless, landline) accepts the call.
Examples:
- To a landline number: The person accepting the call will receive a bill from their landline company.
- To a mobile number: The person accepting the call will receive a “Premium SMS” charge on their bill for the cost of receiving a collect call.
- Prepaid customers can accept collect calls. In this case, they will be charged from the money in their account balance.
