How am I on a new two year service plan?

I signed up online and part of the reason I switched carriers is that T-Mobile claims there is no longer a 2-yr mandatory contract...on my account, it says that something on my account had changed (oddly when I called customer service) and I look on my account now and it says I am under contract until 2015. Not that I think it happened this way, but just a thought: Do call center reps get 'up-sale bonuses' when they 'add' a two-year plan to someones account? I know its terrible to think that, but its the only thing I can think of as to why it might show that, specifically on the day that I first called customer service.

OH, just a rant in case anyone working at T-Mobile cares, but I've been a customer for less than a month and have been promised two call backs regarding an issue I'm having regarding a rebate and I have yet to receive one back. It's been about 2 wks since the first request (online form filled out on the rebate site) and just earlier today I was promised that a supervisor would call me back to help resolve an issue regarding my new account-- nothing. This doesn't seem like the beginning of a good relationship. Oh, and the rebate phone line is annoying as there is no person to talk to, only an automated service which doesn't help me. IF anyone is reading these, please have a manager/supervisor please call me back at the 512 number on my account. After 1200 CST tomorrow would be wonderful.

Signed,

--- A new customer who isn't sure that T-Mobile is the right choice based on this first 2-wk stint
