I live in the edge of Schenectady, NY (Zip code: 12302). My apartment is on the first floor. All windows are facing to a thick wall of trees. The cell signal inside the apartment is always an issue. I used to have Verizon or Sprint. Verizon and Sprint sent their technicians to my apartment to look at the situation and they can't fixed the problem neither. They patched the problem by giving me a femtocell or wireless extender to extend the coverage inside the apartment using the cable internet.
I used to use the Wifi calling feature on T-mobile which is fine. However, I recently need drop the internet service because the discount period is over and the service provider is unwilling to extend the discount period. Now I am out of Internet (neither on cable nor T-mobile), AND I am also unable to place any phone call (Except emergency call) from the apartment. What can I do?
I checked the T-mobile coverage on 12302. I can see I am at the edge of 3G and should be ok with voice. The fact is I don't have any signal (Either voice or data) inside the apartment. The Samsung S4 is simply showing "No service". I want to show the coverage map here, but I can't attach any image here. I am not ready to shell out $500 to buy Cel-fi in order to use the T-mobile cell phone. Any help and advice?
Thanks,
Matt-
