Can I refill and use my expired but active SIM ?

Hi,
I have a Pay As You Go Prepaid SIM card. It has not been used for few months.
The Account Status is "Active". By it also shows "Use by : 3/15/2013" .
Does it mean the SIM and the number expired? Can I refill it and continue to use the card?
