I have a classic family plan.
My kids upgraded their handsets earlier this year (February of 2013). I delayed upgrading mine till the big three would become available after being assured by a friendly rep that I would be able to upgrade it (with subsidies and keeping the classic plan) even after T-Mobile rolls out value plans. I am looking to upgrade my phone now but when I try doing this online, I do not have an option of keeping my old plan.
Can anyone plainly lay out rules applicable to people wanting to upgrade phones who want (or need to) keep the legacy plan.
(by "need" I refer to people who have a few lines with recently upgraded/subsidized phones and hefty penalties keep them from switching to a value plan, there are few situation where people may "want" to hold on tot the legacy plan)
