Starting August 17th, T-Mobile will start throttling the unlimited data plans in case it was misused or violated their Terms and Conditions !!
We do understand that some users can misuse their unlimited data that most of the other carriers don't provided it anymore unless it's grandfathered and probably they are trying to find any excuse to take it away from such customers, well of course some users think that since they have unlimited data they can overload the network traffic of an already exhausted few towers by trying to enjoy everything, like non stop streaming, and playing games or tethering data to other devices at home and probably cancel their home internet and save money, especially if the phone is rooted or unbranded it will allow the user to bypass the tethering limit.
Well it sounds good if the regular users are going to be protected from the inconsiderate selfish ones, T-Mobile said they will send warning messages to the misusers to educate them before throttling their data which sounds nice too, but is T-Mobile sure they will apply their new rules accurately and not throttling someone's data by mistake? from what we see of the messy things that happen everyday speaking of simple services and how many calls it might take to solve these mistakes this might sound scary.
Well customers on limited data plans don't need to worry about this, they won't be affected they already get throttled after reaching their limits.
