Ever since I brought by business to T-Mobile in July 2013 a different name shows up with my number on caller ID landlines. My job deals with sensitive information, and it is a HUGE hassle to have to prove my identity every time I call from my cell. Oh, they also waited the minimum amount of time to give recycle my number so for the first 3 months, and even occasionally, i would get upwards of 7 calls a day from people looking for the previous owner.
Here is what happened when I discovered the issue:
First Call: Promised it would be resolved within 48 hours
---a week goes by---
Second Call: Apologized, promised to do a "rush ticket" and that it will be resolved within 48 hours
---over a week goes by---
Third Call: Very apologetic. They transfer me to "Joe" (Id# 1246913) in Texas, and he says he will "personally resolve this issue and get back to me with 48 business hours.
---a week goes by, no one contacts me, and the issue isn't resolved---
Fourth Call: After being transferred around T-Mobile FINALLY admits to me that they have "no process or system in place to update that information with landline phone companies." So basically, I'm "Neal Smith" (previous owner) FOREVER when I call a landline.
Total time on the phone with T-Mobile: Over 3 hours
Issues resolved: 0
Their way of saying sorry that we can't do a single thing, and that they made me call 4 times and waste over 3 hours of my life before they admitted that they are simply incapable of doing anything : "We can give you a one time $10 credit"
$10, wow. Thanks T-Mobile. #T-MobileFail
